Organic Certified Produce

At Simple Gifts Farm, we use natural and organic production methods when it comes to our produce. Here, we rely not on fertilisers and chemicals, but on on building proper soil fertility via methods of rotation, grazing and plowing. 

We protect and feed our crops with our very own natural nutrient enriched mulch and compost. We also use rock powders and organic fertilizers to correct soil imbalances. Of course, we only use these when it is necessary.

Here, we use a wide variety of management strategies for our farm. This helps us control weeds, pests and harmonise our ecosystem. We use only Organic Agriculture methods to control insects and diseases. 

Our priority when it comes to our farm is to use as much cultural techniques as possible. These include crop rotation, staking and mulching, and physical barriers. In this way, natural insect habitat will be established in different areas on the farm. 

All of our crop production, along with our egg production, is organically certified - by Baystate Organic Certifiers. 

We take care of all our livestock as well. They are usually out on pasture for as much of the year as possible. This keeps out plants and produce continually rotated so that they always have fresh green feed.
