We all know that local Organic Produce is healthier and better for us. Our team here at Fair Shares members know exactly what organic Produce really looks like.

In some cases, organically grown produce is the poster child for produce perfection. That is, the are lush, ripe, and juicy and visually very appealing. 

However, some produce is just too delectable for the critters to leave it alone. There are many times that you will be able to find aphids in the arugula or bugs in the broccoli. It  is not rare to see caterpillars in the corn and spiders in the organic salad mix. 

In these cases, we recommend checking the tip of your corn when you get home and washing all your produce before consumption. Although these bugs and may not be appealing, after a nice wash, your food will be good enough to eat.
