At the Grist, we have been dishing out the dirt environmental news and commentary - all done with a almost wry twist since 1999. 

Now that green and sustainability are so talked about and in every headline, we are the one site you can count on to help you make sense of it all - in of course a fun and humorous way.

For each piece, we would use our Clarity-o-Meter to draw out the real meaning behind those green stories that you hear and see. Of course you know that they are all somehow connected to your life and your future - we're here to tell you that connection. 

We count on our friends to bring along their stories to the table — through blogs, photos, and whatever else they like. 

At Grist, we take our environmental work very very seriously. But we don't take ourselves that seriously. Although it's a fact that many things on ths planet is becoming extinct, sanctimonious tree-huggers definitely is not one of them.
