Protecting our Local Coastal Lines

Here at the Alabama Coastal Foundation, we are an Environmental Organisation with a mission to help improve and protect Alabama's coastal environment. We aim to do this through cooperation, education, and participation.

Since 1993, we have worked hard to create a healthy balance between the conservation needs of our precious coastal resources and the inevitable pressures of our economic growth. 

We are here to encourage everyone to engage in responsible citizen action by offering opportunities for those interested to play a vital role in preserving the environment and our coastal way of life.

We are quite different from other environmental protection organizations. This is because we seek to establish common ground amongst government sectors, local business, major industry, grassroots groups and individual citizens - we don't want to fight against anyone or anything. 

We want to work together as a team in addressing coastal conservation issues. As a team, we are all very committed to addressing priority environmental issues throughout the region to preserve and protect our coastal way of life.​
