Guide to Organic Cotton

At Gaia Conceptions Studios, our fabrics are all grown in North Carolina, Texas. If not, they are from India - fair trade certified. 

They are ginned in North Carolina and are also made into fabric in South Carolina.

We believe that our fabrics and materials that we use for our clothing line is both environmentally sustainable and responsible.

For our organic Cotton Knits, we tend to use a light to med weight knit fabric that is both smooth to the touch and feel. It is also locally milled and is a good choice for anyone who wants to feel just a little extra sophisticated. 

Our Organic Cotton Lycra is soft and smooth. It features 5% Lycra for just the right amount of stretch. Like our knits, it is also locally milled.  

We also feature Organic Tissue Cotton which is a a super light and thin knit fabric. It has a smooth feel, beautiful drape, and mild stretch. It is slightly sheer in lighter colors like pastels. We recommend beating the heat or year round layering.
