Adoption Process

There is a simple way to describe how the Animal adoption process works at Canyon Lake Animal Shelter. First you should make a visit with a CLASS Adoption Counsellor, where you will discuss the type of animal you are looking for.

Then you can complete the Pre-Adoption form and visit our kennels and cattery to meet the possible pet matches. You should plan at least twenty minutes with the pet you are interested in.

If you already have a dog, you should bring them on leash with you to see how they get along with your potential new pet. Once you are approved, fill in the adoption form and take your new family member back home.
